Swimming Pool Security
Published: August 16, 2024
It has come to the attention of the Harmon Ranch HOA Board that it is now necessary to take actions to enhance the safety of Harmon Ranch homeowners and HOA property pertaining to the Harmon Ranch community pool area.
Therefore, we have contracted a security service to provide oversight of safety and security of homeowners and guests at our community pool.
The services commenced July 31st, 2023, and are on a rotational schedule.
Here are our expectations of the security service:
Protect people and property. Protection of resources and neighbors is paramount. Security services will take all legal action necessary to protect homeowners of Harmon Ranch. The primary area of responsibility is the surrounding area and enclosure of the Harmon Ranch Community Pool and Amenity Center.
Enforce HOA Pool Rules. The Harmon Ranch HOA Board of Directors have established Pool Rules in accordance with local and state requirements. These rules must be adhered to by all participants and any infraction will require expulsion from the pool area.
Prevent illegal/destructive/inappropriate behavior. As mentioned, protection of resources and neighbors is paramount. Harmon Ranch will not tolerate misbehavior that goes against local and government laws and ordinances. In addition, any behavioral misconduct or destruction of property will be met with an appropriate legal response.
Perform regular patrols. It is expected that security services will conduct service in a stationary and mobile fashion. The time and place of variation is based on the experience of the security service.
Resolve security-related issues. In the event of nefarious actions such as trespassing, security service will take all legal action necessary to correct and/or deescalate the situation to a sustainable outcome.
Assist residence. Security service’s primary duty is to ensure community rules are enforced. However, there may come a time that neighbors require assistance while at the pool area. Security services are authorized to render assistance. However, only in the extreme case of First Responder action will the security service leave the area to render required assistance within the Harmon Ranch community.
Proactively Identify potential security issues. During the security service shift, if security services notice or uncovers a potential security degrade or enhancement, they are obligated to notify PMG.
To be clear, the pool security guards aren’t being hired to assume the duties that a lifeguard, pool maintenance nor porter service would normally be responsible for nor take the place or responsibility of parents or guardians. They are solely on site to protect neighbors and property of Harmon Ranch and enforce safety and security rules established by the Harmon Ranch HOA Board.
