Kids Games
and Music

This year, we are kicking off our first annual Salsa Side Dish Taste Contest:

SALSA ENTRY: FREE ENTRY

SALSA CONTEST RULES

1) Salsa must be homemade; not store or restaurant bought.
2) Salsa must be made from scratch (using fresh ingredients or canned items).
3) All ingredients in the salsa must be edible.
4) Salsa must be made in advance, transported and served at appropriate temperatures. If salsa requires temperature control, the contestant is responsible for supplying their own ice.
5) We recommend at least a 2-quart entry.
6) Chips will be provided.
7) A copy of the recipe, listing all ingredients will be displayed at the tasting table.

SALSA MAKER

1) Salsa must be entered in the name of the person who made it. Label your container(s) with your name, cell number and category of HOT or NOT SO HOT
2) Contestants may bring and register as many entries as they would like.

DAY OF CONTEST

1) Salsa entries must check in at the Salsa Tasting Room at the Harmon Ranch Amenities Center by 2:30 pm.
2) Will have Select Judges and judging sheet to evaluate and score.
3) Contestants are invited to be present at the 4:00 pm posting and awards of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place(s).
5) Salsa will be judged solely by Select Judging method of voting; salsa receiving the highest score wins.
6) We will have two separate scales: HOT and NOT SO HOT.
7) The trophies will have a ranking of 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The entry form will be sent out via a separate EBlast and you just need to email your form to back to george.torresjr@yahoo.com, starting October 1st, and all the way up to Noon, October 15th.

As promised, here are all the exciting details for this year’s End of School / Start of Summer Bash — and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

• 4:00 PM – Opening Remarks & Pool Kickoff
o Formal pool opening with our Water Splash Entry tradition
o Unveiling of the new kiddy pool cover and family lounge furniture
• 4:30 PM – Bubble Fun in the Kiddy Pool Area
• 5:00 PM – Water Balloon Toss Contest
(Held in the grassy area between the two pools)
• 5:30 – 6:30 PM – Neighborhood Crime Prevention Hour
o Meet our new Neighborhood Police Officer (NPO)
o Learn summer safety tips and crime prevention strategies
o Enjoy free giveaways during the presentation
(We'll meet in the pool area for this portion.)
• 6:30 – 7:30 PM – Pass the Water Behind My Back Relay
• 7:30 PM – Closing Remarks
