We are excited to have “Holi – the festival of colors” Saturday March 15th from 1:00 pm t0 4:00 pm at the Amenities center. The weather is perfect for the celebration.
Holi is the spring festival of India signifying the end of Winter and it is time come out of the homes for the beautiful colors of Spring.
WHAT TO EXPECT
✓ Colors are provided (1 packet per family) for Harmon Ranch Residents
✓ Colors will also be available to purchase ($3 per pack or $5 FOR 2 packs)
✓ Colors are all plant based and expected to not allergic (hopefully). They are not meant to stick – you should be able to wash them off clean.
✓ OK to get your own colors - to buy colors outside – Best place is Patel Brothers and India Bazar in Irving.
✓ Prefer white clothes for beautiful pictures – assume clothes are not non-recoverable - you should not expect them to use after washing – unless you want to claim yourself an artist.
✓ White clothes are not required. There is NO DRESS CODE.
Expect other people to touch you (with hands) on cheeks and forehead to apply colors.
✓ We are going to have some food stalls.
✓ We will have Music (DJ) -- Will have great music to enjoy.
✓ Water hose to wash off colors.
✓ The festival is a lot of fun for the whole family – Teens and Kids will enjoy more.
✓ Feel free to bring your friends and family even from outside - they can buy colors on site.
